Mississippi Music Festivals

Known for being "The Home of The Blues" Mississippi Music Festivals continue to support and provide quality entertainment annualy.

Mississippi also features many bluegrass and country and western festivals. With the Jimmy Rogers Festival in Meredian being a major music attraction.

Known for being the "Father of Country Music" the Jimmy Rodgers Festival is held each year in the month of May in Meridian, Ms. Jimmy Rodgers wrote songs about the common man, he wrote and sang about the sights and sounds that surrounded his life. The festival features top named entertainment and is attended by people from all across the world.

The Jubilee Jam is held in downtown Jackson, Ms. Plenty of good music, food vendors, crafts and a number of art forms, including photography, jewelry, acrylics/oil painting, metalworks.

The Bentonia Blues Festival begins June 21st 2008. The Blues Festival will be held downtown. Blues legends will be performing. As always, there will be good food, plenty of fun and great music

The Old Towne Music Show will be held in Olive Branch, Ms on June 28, 2008. Enjoy the day relaxing and listening to old time country music. There will be plenty of good food and fun for all.

Potts Camp, Ms in Marshall county off Route 78 between Tupelo, Ms and Memphis, Tn, will host their annual Hill Country Picnic on July 4-5 2008.
