Grenada Lake...Hugh White State Park

The primary purpose of the lake is flood control. Although Grenada lake is known as one of the nations best crappie fishing lakes. Hosting fishing tournament from Cabela's Crappie USA Tournament, Bass Pro Shop's Crappie Masters Tournament, Southern Crappie Angelers Tournament, and the Magnolia Crappie's Club Tournament.

Grenada lake is host to the annual Thunder On Water Safe Boating Festival. Activities include a Childrens Fishing Rodeo, amusement rides, rodeo, food venders, antique car show, artist and crafters booths and fun for the entire family. Hundreds of boats fill the waters as spectators line the beaches and hillsides to view an unbelievable fire works display to get the festival started. Thunder on Water kicks off the weekend of June 7th. Make plans early to attend, there are plenty of motels in the area, recreational vehicle parks and primitive camping areas are available. And best of all it's Free.

Grenada Lake and Hugh White State Park

Grenada lake has a beautiful public beach for fun in the sun. Sail boats and motor powered boats pulling water skiers fill the horizon of the vast waters of Grenada Lake.

Grenada Lakes Hugh White State Park offers seclusion for the perfect getaway. Locals refer to the beautiful white sands beach at Hugh White State Park as The Natural Beach. WIth cabin rentals, boating, fishing, beaches and campfires secluded in the beautiful hills alongside Grenada Lake, well need I say, this is...The Way Life Should Be.

Family Reunions and Social Gatherings

Planning a family reunion or social event?

Grenada Lake has several pavilions to accomodate a large crowd. As you can see, there is ample seating and tables. The north end pavilion has four tennis courts, a fenced playground for the children, a basketball court, three baseball fields and a nature trail. Area should be booked in advance.

Nature Lovers will find Grenada Lake and Hugh White State Park has an abundance of wildlife.

Nature trails bring hikers, bird watchers and animal lovers close to many species of animals, deer, wild turkeys, raccoons, opossums, owls, hawks and bald eagles. Oh and snakes.

Caution should be taken when hiking during the spring and summer months.

Hugh White State Park - Cabin Rentals

Hugh White State Park offers the perfect get-a-way, with three different cabin styles.

Cabin Style #1
This cabin sleeps (four) One bedroom with two double beds. Each cabin has a stove and a kitchenette, with eating and cooking utensils, refridgerator, microwave, glassware and dishes. The cabin has a shower, towels and bath soap. Bed linens are furnished.

Enjoy the inside with central H/A, or the outside on a screened porch, picnic tables and outside grill. No telephones or televisions in cabin. Cabins are lakeside.

Cabin Style #2
Same sleeping arrangements and furnishings as Cabin Style #1. These cabins have a small den, with a fireplace. Cost are same as above.

Cabin Style #3
Cabins have two bedrooms and sleeps six. Two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, with two queen size beds in the other bedroom. The cabin features the same ammenities as the other cabins. The den area has a nice fireplace. Off the den is a screened porch with a picnic table, chairs and a grill. Near the lake and beach area.
