Deena Barbee...Local Artist

Deena Barbee is a native from Greenwood - MS, however she has been living in Grenada for more then 30 years. She is a self taught artist and her interest for acrylic painting started few years ago, just exploring painting at home as hobby.

According to Deena, working with acrylics offers the artist a wealth of possible avenues for creative expression. Besides the asset of fast drying, acrylics is versatile, has got a unique strength, and also has gained more and more popularity as a very distinctive medium on its own right.

Most of Deena’s works range from typical figures and scenes of our routine to modern abstracts. Happy bright colors and delightful themes are some characteristics of her style.
