Mississippi is steeped in rhythm and blues nobility. And Grenada is no exception.

From the final resting place and home of Mississippi John Hurt to our current resident Eddie Willis. No doubt, unless you've been living under a rock, everyone has heard of Motown and The Temptations.

Eddie Willis is a member of the Funk Brothers Band. A session band that played on all the great Motown hits, such as, I Heard It Through The Grapevine, My Girl, Papa Was A Rolling Stone, the list goes on and on. Standing In The Shadows Of Motown is a must see documentary.

The Festival of Trees will be held in downtown Grenada starting December 5 - 7, 2008. Visit historic homes and businesses to celebrate in the joy's of Christmas

Activities include Carriage Rides, Art on Main, Entertainment, Holiday Village On The Square, visit the Coke Cola & History Museum, plus the Holiday Bazaar.

Holiday Horse & Carriage Rides begin Fridays 5-9 p.m. and Saturdays 11-3 p.m. and 5-9 p.m. $30 per carriage - capacity of 6. For reservations call 800-373-3571
